Nene was created in North Carolina in 2004 to bring to North America and other select markets one of a kind handmade fashions and accessories which do not come off industrial assembly lines. No two of our products are identical We are committed to supporting the conservation of our natural resources, and the economic development of small artisan communities.

Because our products do not come off industrial assembly lines, no two are identical and whereas the pictures and descriptions represent the target for the artisans some slight differences may be found in the product you receive in the fulfillment of orders.

Our products are fair trade; handmade; seeds may be color-enhanced with vegetable dyes.
We share a concern for the preservation of nature, therefore we work with recyclable materials that allow a sustainable growth, such as rain forest seeds, coconut, golden-grass and reforestation woods, as well as other materials that are not harmful to the environment.
Those who work with seeds as raw material never allow the harming of trees. We work to help sustain artisans’ cultures by maintaining their forms of traditional art and adornment.
